Hurld Wyman Elementary School Dedicated

Although the weather didn’t cooperate as hoped, on Monday, November 19th the new Hurld Wyman Elementary School at 39 Wyman Street in Woburn was dedicated with a large and enthusiastic audience of students, staff, and community members present in the new school’s cafetorium.
The 71,000 SF elementary school consolidated two undersized schools into one that is 71,000 SF and serves 410 students in grades K–5. It features nearly two dozen classrooms, art and music spaces, a 6,000 SF gymnasium, library, and cafetorium, while incorporating high-efficiency lighting, water, and energy systems. There are also new athletic fields and green spaces, along with an updated playground, sharing its site with Spence Farm, an important community asset.
DiNisco Design partnered with the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) on the project.
