Design Problem

The renovations and additions to the existing building will help it accommodate 747 students.

Additional Information

An addition added ten new classrooms, four science labs, two engineering rooms, and a new cafeteria. The renovation created more efficient locker rooms and a fitness room, added one new art room, a drama room, teacher planning, OT/PT, new guidance spaces, and new SPED spaces, plus updated two art rooms and two music rooms. The building’s HVAC system were updated, and the north and east wings of the existing building were connected.

Design Solution

Sustainable design considerations related to indoor air quality and building efficiency were incorporated into the building’s design. Existing modular classrooms currently located in the middle of the site will be demolished upon completion of the new additions.
