Construction Dates: June 2013–June 2014
All three of the town’s schools had current and future overcrowding issues, and the existing building was in only fair to good condition.
The revitalization of the Middle School further enhanced the definition of schools into learning communities better designed to meet the academic and social needs of students in grades 6–8.
After a new elementary school (grades 2–5) was built to reduce crowding, the existing building was re-purposed as a middle school (grades 6–8). The modernization was completed within four months. Necessary issues/repairs included: door and window corrosion, the HVAC system, new roofing, and a sprinkler system.
